FFA Summer Happenings
FFA had a busy summer.
Six members traveled to Washington DC for the Washington Leadership Conference. We also stopped off in NYC and Niagara Falls. Those attending included Katelyn, Kamryn, NIchole, Michaela, Kody, & Andrew.
Ten members took the opportunity to tour and experience the Agriculture Program at Kansas State University. This was a great experience at one of the top agriculture schools in the Midwest. Those attending Katelyn, Rylee, Kody, Michaela, Kamryn, Madison, Rachel, Carli, Lindsay, & Katy.
Members who participated in the Polk County Fair included Andrew, Kody, Tyler, Kindall, Madiline, & Greg.
Rachel, Madison, Michaela, & Madison all took part in the Food Science Career Development Event State Pilot.
Mikayla and Cheyanne attended the HYMAX academy which is limited to the Top 100 Agriculture Education Freshman in the State.
Rylee was busy with her duties as the Area 10 Association Secretary.
Kody represented the chapter at the National Junior Hereford Exposition in Louisville, KY where he exhibited parts of his SAE project.

The Chapter also had a concession booth at the Celebration of Freedom in Bolivar, catered a 350 person banquet at the State Ag Teachers Conference, and provided breakfast for the State Young Farmers Tour.
Members also attended the Area 10 Mixer and Area 10 Leadership Conference.
